Our Vision.
There is a critical gap in Christian women’s discipleship. As our roles in public life have grown, the church’s vision for women’s work and calling has not grown with us. We find ourselves navigating expectations for our relational roles, complex gender dynamics in the workplace, and social pressure to portray picture-perfect lives, without a biblical framework to guide our leadership or a community of like-minded women to support our goals.
At Women, Work, & Calling we believe women play a critical role in God’s mission. Our dream is that every woman would understand her God-given influence and gain the tools she needs to shape our world through her work.
Our Mission.
Women, Work, & Calling strives to establish, inspire, and equip Christian women to fully live their calling, in response to God’s love and in service to others. Through our events, experiences, and resources we prepare women for godly influence in public life.
Our programming is based on five
guiding principles:
Think Theologically: Establish a theologically-rich model of work and calling to form women for their role in public life.
Embrace Relationships: Build like-minded relationships for a community of women that often feels isolated or unseen. We value healthy, collaborative relationships with men, based on models seen throughout Scripture.
Create Good Work: Equip women to do good work through the lived experience of female leaders & practical tools addressing the unique challenges women face.
Seek Deep Spiritual Health: Offer soul care practices tailored to women’s demands, including a richer approach to the challenge of work/life balance.
Serve Sacrificially: Model Christlike, redemptive impact through women’s influence in the world.
Doctrinally, we serve a range of denominations but align with the tenets of the Nicene Creed, one of the founding documents of the Christian faith.
