Volunteer

Help women discover who God made them to be.

WHY VOLUNTEER

Join our mission as we equip women for godly influence in any sphere of life. We strive to establish, inspire, and equip Christian women to fully live their calling, in response to God’s love and in service to others through a variety of events, experiences, and resources. It takes a village of us working together to host these spaces for women, and you are invited to be a part of this greater mission with us. WWC Volunteers benefit from:

  • Free or reduced price on event tickets

  • Opportunities to use your unique skills and giftings to serve a broader community of women

  • Extended networking and relationship building with Denver’s community of faithful workers

Will you join us in preparing women in our community, and beyond, to serve God & others through their work?

  • Do you… Care about buffet flow? Have any food service experience? “Eat with your eyes first” or are a self-proclaimed foodie? If you feed them, they will come. No event is complete without something great to eat and our Food & Beverage team helps us ensure our guests are well fed and hydrated so they can focus on who God is forming them to be.

At the Women, Work & Calling Annual event, Food & Beverage volunteers assist with guest experience at lunchtime by releasing tables and helping guide traffic flow of the buffet line. These volunteers may also help ensure our speakers, vendors, staff, and other volunteer teams have access to snacks and drinks throughout the day.

WWC Time Commitment: Half Day 4-5 hour commitment or full day 8-9 hour commitment on day-of the event

  • Do you… like to be moving around? Like the big picture? Our Setup and Teardown Event Volunteers are the behind-the-scenes heroes, bringing energy and organization to the crucial prep and wrap-up of our events. Generally, we will have one volunteer team for setup and a separate team for tear down of events to move tables, chairs, place decor and load/unload vehicles. You will help execute vision and transform spaces into places of belonging for our guests.

At the Women, Work & Calling Annual event, these teams will be moving chairs, stage furniture and decor items in and out of the venue for the ultimate guest experience. Setup or Teardown volunteers will also assist in placing directional signage.

Setup Time Commitment: Primarily 7am - 9am on event day
Teardown Time Commitment: Primarily 3pm - 4pm on event day
Other Opportunities to Serve: 2-4 hours the day before the event to deliver items to venue

*We encourage WWC volunteers to serve a full Half Day 4-5 hour commitment or full day 8-9 hour commitment on day-of-event and play multiple roles on the team.

  • Do you… talk to people on airplanes? Love connecting people? A social butterfly? Our Greeters are the first point of contact for guests attending our event. In this role, you will warmly welcome attendees, provide directions, answer questions, and help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. Your friendly demeanor and helpful attitude will make the “first impression” for all our guests to set the tone for the event

At the Women, Work & Calling Annual event, our Greeters not only welcome attendees to the event, but assist in helping women find their assigned table number, answer questions and engage attendees in the lobby throughout the day.

WWC Time Commitment: Half Day 4-5 hour commitment or full day 8-9 hour commitment on day-of event. Arriving early and being at assigned areas during break times are key to serving as a Greeter.

  • Do you… have gifts of administration and hospitality? Nerd out on spreadsheets? Are customer-service savvy? Our Guest Services volunteers are the front lines of attendee interaction, problem-solving, and providing a welcoming experience. Examples of responsibilities include assisting with event check-ins, handling registrations, sorting name tags or supporting bookstore sales. Your focus will be on delivering excellent customer service and delivering the information guests need. By volunteering in this role, you will contribute to a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees!

WWC Time Commitment: Half Day 4-5 hour commitment or full day 8-9 hour commitment on day-of event. Arriving early and being at assigned areas during break times are key to serving as a Guest Services Volunteer.

  • Do you… live for a great photo booth? Use the word aesthetic often? Enjoy making things beautiful? Environment (Decor) volunteers will assist in creating a visually appealing and welcoming atmosphere for our events. You’ll work closely with the event coordination team to be involved in the execution of decorations that align with the theme and tone of the event.

For the Women, Work & Calling Annual event, Environment volunteers will assist in centerpiece assembly, photo booth construction, painting, and helping to make all the ‘look & feel’ elements come to life.

WWC Time Commitment: 2-5 Hours a few days before the event. Option to assist on event day as well.

  • Do you… Serve on your church's AV Team (sound, lighting, slides)? Know how to wrap a cord? Love wearing black?  Event Production Volunteers have specialized experience in audio, visual, photography, videography, stage management or other production skills. Volunteers are willing to support the technical team in running sound checks, bringing items on/off stage during the program, and assisting in preparing equipment before the event begins.

At the Women, Work & Calling Annual event, Production Volunteers may be found running the slides, helping facilitate Q&A sessions or help shuffle items on and off stage during the program.

WWC Time Commitment: 1 Hour Production Meeting week-of an event (virtual), and 1 Hour before an event begins throughout the event program.
